Want to get organized? I can help!Hello! I'm Sue Duval, Certified Professional Organizer®, Productivity Consultant, and owner of The Organized Hive®. I'm a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO), am the Immediate Past President of the NAPO-CT Chapter, and am also a member of the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD). I started The Organized Hive® back in 2015 because I love getting spaces in order and systems in place. I especially enjoy that calm feeling you get when the areas you live and work in are simplified and organized.
I'm friendly and kind, and you won't find any judgement here. I truly understand clutter, and the many reasons it can accumulate and overwhelm. In addition to being one of only a handful of Certified Professional Organizers in the state, I hold NAPO Specialist Certificates in both Residential Organizing and Workplace Productivity along with a Level 1 Certificate of Study in ADHD from the ICD. I also speak regularly for groups on a variety of organizing topics. I look forward to helping YOU simplify your spaces, get organized, and bring order and efficiency to your home or office. What My Customers Have to Say:
"It was such a pleasure working together yesterday! Thank you SO so much for all your help. I'm totally delighted and proud of our great progress! You made the un-doable, doable!"
- Erika, Ridgefield, CT
"Sue Duval from The Organized Hive has significantly changed my life. We worked together once a month for about ten months. She helped me go through every room, every closet, the garage, basement and attic organizing each space. Her visits truly became one of my favorite days of the month. She made the process enjoyable, thoughtful and simple. I loved how Sue came with organizing products and worked her magic putting the puzzle together to make everything functional. She helped me purge and donate things no longer needed or wanted, keeping the things I enjoy and use. I have lived in my house for 10 years and this project was daunting to me. Now I feel like I have a new house. My husband and I can’t stop talking about how much we enjoy living in our new space and LOVE our house. It has been one of our BEST investments. Thank you, Sue! Looking forward to working together on my photo project.

"If you want to have fun decluttering your home -- and in turn your life -- call Sue Duval. Sue has tackled a myriad of projects in my home, from helping sort through family heirlooms to contributing to bathroom renovation design. At every turn, Sue is supportive, cheerful, and focused on meeting objectives. Many people can organize things, but Sue's gift is in respecting and appreciating the stories behind your possessions and incorporating them into the present. Working with Sue has helped me reconnect with past pleasures and make room for new ones, and has restored peace and joy to my home. Thank you Sue Duval!
- Joan, Newtown, CT
"Sue, I just wanted to let you know how good I felt today after you left. I am so pleased with what we've accomplished so far and am really feeling hopeful about my house. There is light at the end of the tunnel! I truly feel you are a godsend and I'm very appreciative and grateful for your help!"
- Denise, Southbury, CT
"Thank you so much for all the work you did helping us to get organized. You exceeded our expectations! We were very pleased with the results and will definitely hire you again for any future projects we have."
- Kirsten, Newtown, CT
"Thank you, Sue. I love the kitchen, you did an awesome job! My husband can't stop looking at it... it's amazing!
I couldn't have done it without you. I will definitely contact you when I'm ready to tackle the closet!"
- Robin, Stratford, CT
"Sue can tackle any organizing project you may have! She has transformed areas in my house overrun by craft supplies, clothes and electrical components. She listens to clients and is sensitive to their needs while helping them lose the clutter!" - Marie, Newtown, CT
"Sue, owner of The Organized Hive, literally transformed my home! Despite being a project manager by trade, I found unpacking my post-divorce boxes to be a daunting and emotional task. After 2 years of coming home late from work every day feeling frustrated with chaos and clutter, I asked Sue if she had any ideas. After one visit, I could see that she not only takes price in what she does, she loves what she does -- and knew innately how to meet my needs and the unique needs of my family. With calmness, efficiency, and creativity Sue transformed my house. Over three months, she helped redesign and organize both my daughter's rooms, the garage, finished basement, laundry room, kitchen cabinets, and pantry. I truly admire her strength as an organizer, analyst, project manager, as well as her creative and aesthetic senses. So much so, I invited her to help me convert a cluttered walk-in closet into a home office. Without hesitation, she came back with various options (at multiple budget levels). Ultimately, the office was built around her idea to use one of the closet doors as the desktop for a built-in desk. Simply brilliant, and so it was done! Sue has been very sensitive to my interests, my inflexible schedule, and private matters. Thank you, Sue, for helping me see my house from new lenses. It is finally a home where every room has a purpose and a personality. I could not have done it without you!" - Alisa, Sandy Hook, CT
"Just dropping you a note to let you know how much I LOVE my new, organized closet. It's not just a clean/organized closet that you left me with but a new organization "system" that is very maintainable and dare I say....life changing (for me). My closest family members know how much this means to me as I have attempted.. multiple times... to get this done myself. (But could not). A great big "thank you" to you and your "mad" organization skills. From a truly appreciative client."

Areas I Serve:
Clutter is widespread, so I help clients across Fairfield County and beyond to get organized and restore order. I am regularly helping clients in Bethel, Brookfield, Cheshire, Danbury, Darien, Easton, Fairfield, Greenwich, Hamden, Litchfield, Milford, Monroe, New Canaan, New Fairfield, New Haven, New Milford, Newtown, North Haven, Norwalk, Redding, Ridgefield, Roxbury, Southbury, Southport, Stamford, Stratford, Trumbull, Washington, Weston, Westport, Wilton, Woodbury.... and beyond. I'm happy to travel if it means helping someone get organized!
My Background:
Prior to becoming a professional organizer and starting The Organized Hive®, I spent 20+ years in the corporate world of events management and marketing; planning and executing successful marketing campaigns and special events for a multitude of annual grand-scale B2B trade shows and conferences across the country. I decided to take all those transferable corporate skills (planning, organizing, business management, project management, systems engineering, problem solving, interpersonal...) and put them to work where I could make a real difference every day - helping clients get organized and simplify their spaces to make room and time for what is most important to them.
